I presented the project „Arts & Books” in Chișinău

Arte & Carte is an aesthetic education project for the community, presented by me on the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the “Ștefan cel Mare” branch of the library in Chișinău, Republica Moldova.

I am a librarian with 16 years of experience at the “Duiliu Zamfirescu” Vrancea County Library, I studied painting at the Popular School of Art in Focșani, Vrancea county, Romania, I love art and I paint.

For 5 years I have been a tutor of workshops and painting clubs for children, and for one year – for adults and seniors, within the Vrancea County Library.

Whether it is „Bibliovacation”, „Vacation Library”, „Christmas Legends”, „School Otherwise”, painting and art albums are always present and animate the community at a national level, indoors (library, schools, art gallery, flower shops) or outdoors (library yard or garden, grove, parks).

This project, of aesthetic education for the community, aims to:

– create a new library service regarding the participants’ ability to draw and paint;
– train and learn different drawing and painting techniques;
– familiarize children, adults and seniors with information from the history of painting using the albums of the library’s Art Room.

The „family” painting club has been running for a year and brings together children, parents, aunts, grandparents, who are eager to socialize and paint. Here, friendships were made between special people, and some participants chose to attend classes at the Vrancea Popular School of Art.

The clubs will continue with regular frequency. Exhibitions of their works were organized, promotion on Facebook, opening and diplomas were offered, in a very pleasant and emotional atmosphere.

We shall meet again every time with enthusiasm!
